In this exciting week of interdisciplinary learning, art making and writing, we will be doing our little part to save the Earth. In the mornings, students will try their hand at poetry and fiction and find new stories and inspirations. In the afternoons, we will sculpt, weave, paint and print using recyclables from everyday life in combination with traditional art materials. Students will be inspired by public art in our own cultural district as well as learning about innovative, contemporary artists working with recycled materials to create amazing art around the world. Students will collaborate and experiment while learning creative ways to make beautiful art with objects destined for the garbage.
