Schumann, Liszt & Strauss
Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra

Schumann wrote his Third Symphony after a visit to Cologne, Germany. The fourth movement musically depicts the great Cologne Cathedral. Liszt's Second Piano Concerto is technically dazzling and showcases the virtuosity of soloist Jorge Federico Osario. Strauss' Suite from Der Rosenkavelier ends the program with a victorious waltz.
