About This Performance

PSO Principal Bassoon Nancy Goeres premieres Fletcher's Bassoon Concerto. Bartók's Miraculous Mandarin is exciting and colorful music from the ballet of the same name. Composer Benjamin Britten said of Ravel's La Valse, "its one-movement design plots the birth, decay and destruction of the musical genre: the waltz."
