Honeck brings you a distinctly colorful work by one of his favorite composers, Walter Braunfels. Emanuel Ax returns for Beethoven's Fourth Piano Concerto, regarded as one of the most sublime works for piano and orchestra. Brahms' Fourth is the last of his symphonies. The final movement is based on the melody from Bach's Cantata No. 150 with 34 variations on its theme.
