Retelling the Tale: Finding Your Way Into Adaptation with TJ Young

This free workshop will focus on finding the key elements of an already established story to help find your "way into" the adaptation. We will focus on exercises that pull out the theatrically essential parts of the source material, and some tools on how to nail down your specific point of view that can then be used as a north star in crafting this new adaptation. This is more than just slapping a new coat of paint on an old story. Instead, it is finding your way into telling a story that feels important for now while pulling out the best parts of the old tale.
