Conrad Jones

Associate Principal Trumpet

 

Conrad Jones is the newly appointed associate principal trumpet of the Pittsburgh Symphony beginning in the 2024/24 season. Outside of Pittsburgh he has performed as guest principal trumpet with the Chicago Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, St. Louis Symphony, Toronto Symphony, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. During the summer season, he often performs at the Mainly Mozart, Strings, Sun Valley, and Grand Tetons Music Festivals.

Jones was principal trumpet of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra since 2016 and principal of the Tucson Symphony prior to that for two seasons. In the 2015/16 season, he was acting 2nd trumpet of the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra. A native of Long Island, New York, he attended The Cleveland Institute of Music before continuing on to The Colburn School in Los Angeles, CA.
